Understanding how INSTROC credits work for AI generations.

What Are Credits?​

Credits are used for AI generations in INSTROC. Each time you ask the AI to generate or modify your application, it uses credits.

What Uses Credits?​

Uses 1 Credit​

  • Generating a new page or section
  • Modifying existing components
  • Adding features with AI
  • Fixing bugs through AI chat
  • Styling changes via AI

Does NOT Use Credits​

  • Manual editing in visual editor
  • Direct code editing
  • Uploading files
  • Publishing/deploying
  • Viewing preview
  • Database operations

Checking Your Usage​

View Credit Balance​

  1. Click your avatar in the top right
  2. Select Account Settings
  3. View Usage section

Shows:

  • Credits used this period
  • Credits remaining
  • Reset date

Usage History​

See what used your credits:

  1. Go to Account Settings → Usage
  2. Click View History
  3. See each generation with timestamp

Managing Credits​

If You Run Out (Free Plan)​

Options when credits are depleted:

  1. Wait - Credits reset next billing cycle
  2. Upgrade - Get unlimited credits with Pro
  3. Use Manual Editing - Visual editor doesn't use credits

Maximizing Credit Value​

Batch your requests:

❌ Multiple small requests:
"Add a header"
"Now add a hero section"
"Now add features"

✅ One comprehensive request:
"Create a landing page with header, hero section,
features section, pricing, and footer"

Be specific: Vague prompts may require follow-ups that use more credits.

Use visual editor for small changes: Adjust colors, text, and spacing directly instead of using AI.

Credit FAQ​

Do unused credits roll over?​

No, credits reset each billing cycle and don't accumulate.

Can I buy more credits?​

On the Free plan, you can upgrade to Pro for unlimited credits. We don't sell credit packs.

Why unlimited on paid plans?​

We want Pro and Team users to use AI freely without worrying about limits. Fair use policies apply.

What's considered "fair use"?​

Normal development usage has no limits. Automated/scripted usage or reselling credits violates terms.

Do refunds restore credits?​

If you receive a refund within the first 14 days, your credit usage doesn't affect the refund.

For Pro/Team Users​

Truly Unlimited​

Pro and Team plans have no credit limits for normal usage.

Fair Use Policy​

Unlimited means unlimited for:

  • Building your projects
  • Client work
  • Reasonable development usage

Not allowed:

  • Automated scripting against the AI
  • Reselling AI access
  • Abusive usage patterns

If You See Limits​

If you encounter any limits on a paid plan:

  1. Check your subscription status
  2. Contact support if subscription is active

Upgrading for More Credits​

Free → Pro​

  • Instant unlimited credits
  • Prorated charge for current period
  • Keep all existing projects

How to Upgrade​

  1. Go to Account Settings → Billing
  2. Click Upgrade to Pro
  3. Enter payment information
  4. Immediate access to unlimited credits
